Well, I cleaned off my desk today, and let me tell you something. It always takes a really long time. I also did laundry, and that takes a long time, too! Which makes my eyes all squinty, the laundry and the cleaning.
I also edited a Spice Brief called The Experiment and sent that off to my editor; so that’s what I do instead of watching The Super Bowl. I work. Oh, I did play some Sims 3 earlier today, but I don’t really count it since I was actually editing while I just let my Sim lady go about her business.
She discovered a star.
I know, right? Who knew they even could? Left to her business, she will play her guitar a lot and flirt with people. She also apparently likes to discover stars. And she found some seeds, but I don’t think she’ll plant them. Well, maybe she will, I don’t know.
Tomorrow I aim to get up at a good time (instead of letting the alarm just go off, then again, then again later…) which means I intend to get to bed very shortly. Which is also what I’m doing instead of watching the Super Bowl. Going to be early. I believe I shall read. Now, I just finished Under the Dome which was a doorstop of a book, my God, over 1000 pages, really? REALLY?! And I think I’m going to read The Lightning Thief or possibly The Dead and Gone next. Because I feel like it.
On the other hand, if I’m going to dive back into Collide tomorrow, I really should read through it to refresh my memory. So maybe I’ll take that to bed with me instead, and go over it.
See, that’s what I do instead of watching football.
I work!

Line by line. Word by word. Letter by letter.
Oooh, it’s painstaking. My eyes are blurry. My stomach’s rumbling. I’m behind schedule because I’m procrastinating!
*writhes*
Must. Push. Through…!!!

Slower writing day yesterday, only about 13 pages instead of 20. I’m very close to the end of my page count, which means I should finish up the book. It will all even out in revisions, take a little out at the beginning, add a little at the end.But I really should get to the end.
I might do that today. I’m not POSITIVE — I gave myself until tomorrow, after all, to finish. But I think I could finish this book today, as in get the story to the end, worry about the missing bits next week during revisions. Yeah. I think that could happen.
In happy news, I’m pleased to announce that my futuristic erotic romance novel, PASSION MODEL, will be re-released through Samhain Publishing in May! (Tentative release date, I’ll keep y’all posted if that changes.) I’m excited by the chance to become part of the Samhain family and for the chance to see this book available again. It’s one of my earliest and still favorite stories. I love writing SF, futuristic, I love it! So this is exciting news for me! If you’ve already read and enjoyed Passion Model, thank you. If you haven’t…I hope you give it a try.
And I guess that’s it. I’ve got some coffee brewing, and I’m going to work on these pages. Today it won’t necessarily be about how MANY, but what goes on them. I’m not aiming for another 40 page day, though I won’t turn it down. It’s just possible this could all tie up in 20 or 30 pages. Or 50, and I’ll be doing this tomorrow.
We’ll see…

Yeah, it’s my fault for sleeping late, but what can I say, I’m not by nature an early morning person. And my desk is literally covered in paperwork, bills, etc. That I feel I must remove before I can really get to work. But guess what, I’m going to work instead of cleaning my desk, get my 20 pages for today, and THEN clean.
I really want to play the Sims. REALLY BAD.
I will finish this book by the end of the week, though, if I do what I’m supposed to do. And I’m going to. I will do it!!!!!! I will!
I’m really on the downward slide, maybe 100 more pages, and then it’s editing and polishing to be done, and that is the easier part.
So yeah, getting offline, having some coffee or maybe some tea, and then onto my daily goal. See you on the other side.
M
Oh, btw…everyone’s home today and they’re not bothering me, and I STILL am having a hard time getting motivated.

Yesterday was an epic day. Forty pages. Yes, 40. Yesterday, I wrote more pages than I have lived years on this earth. That’s about 10,000 words, btw.
So, yeah, that was a lot.
And then, brain broken, I watched EQUILIBRIUM so I could recover.
The problem with watching Equilibrium is that I suddenly want to dress like a Grammaton Cleric. Okay, maybe I really want Superman to dress like a Grammaton Cleric. But I want a cleric’s coat, or jacket, and thus led to the internet search for such a thing.
You can actually buy one.
It’s not really what I want, though. I want more like…a jacket. Or something like this, really. See that? That’s my porn, right there. (NO. Not the MAN, just the OUTFIT. Not the OCCUPATION. Just the CLOTHES.)
So, yeah. I have to get off searching the internet for a place to find a really cool cleric’s outfit, because yeah, I totally NEED ONE OMG. *eyeroll*
How about this. Oh yes. OH YES.
You see the problem?
Don’t even get me started about how Superman started imitating Bale’s “goood for youuuuuuu” last night and I srsly almost lost…something…
Yeah.
I don’t think I’ll be doing 40 pages today. I’ll be lucky if I get a shower and put on some clothes.
M
Oh, also? Want this.

Faced with spending her first Hanukkah alone, Lilly Gold wishes for a miracle that would change her life just a little bit. Then her prayers are answered–in a big way–when the most perfect naked man appears in her yard during a blizzard.
Zachariah tells Lilly he’s been sent to be–and do—anything she wants. And for eight passionate days, trapped together by the snow, he does just that, giving Lilly all the pleasure she could have hoped for. But when their holiday is over, only another miracle can keep their affair from ending, too…

It’s no secret I love Supernatural so you might guess I’m very forgiving of it, even when it doesn’t quite hit the mark. (I’m nice like that.) I was looking forward to this season, but dreading it, too — there’s a good chance it’s the LAST season, though now they’re making noise about coming back for season six and I would not complain about that, no sirree, but I’m sort of hanging on to season five as the very last bit of new Winchester brothers.
Thursday nights I sit down in front of the television with my pulse pounding. Waiting. Excited. It’s the only show I feel this way about. I enjoy other shows, yes, but this show is the only one that makes me feel THIS way. Supernatural is like that special boy in study hall who tosses paper footballs at you when you’re not looking, but asks your best friend to the dance instead, only to end up making out with you the next week after band practice.
What I’m saying is, even when it’s sort of bad, I love it anyway.
The first two episodes of this season didn’t make me explode. I liked them. I thought they were necessary and well done, well written and acted and filmed and catered and made up and costumed and everything. I liked them, but I didn’t *omglovelovelove* them. I liked the third one all right.
And then came THE END. (Just so you know, I don’t usually even know the names of episodes to refer to them that way, so I had to look that up. And then I found out that you can download fuhfree, ya’ll, that’s right, free, the song from the promo’s!)
Oh.My.God.
Post apocalyptic virus that makes zombies (or zombie-like creatures?) Sign me the f*** up, son, goddamn, that’s some GQMF shit up in there. Time travel? Get me a spoon for that bowl of yum.
Two Deans?
Hold up, now. Am I still alive? Or have I passed on to the great beyond, to a world with not one but TWO Dean Winchesters? And one’s really angry? Lemme pinch myself, because I swear to you I’ve died. Let’s not talk about the pink satin panties, because that might just make my head explode. Ok, let’s talk about them — because I TOTALLY believe Dean would enjoy a pair of pink satin panties.
In short, I loved the episode. LURVED. Yes, I did.
And the sort of best part/worst part was that because I was out of town I missed it and watched it on Monday night, which meant it was only a few days until last night, when the new episode was on. And guess what? Loved it, too.
I’m usually more a fan of the standalone episodes than the mytharc ones — was like that when I loved X Files, too. But Supernatural’s super good at mixing them. So you get a piece of the overall arc to keep that story going, along with a nice little monster hunting episode. And brotherly bonding. Gah, can I tell you how much I love the fact they’re back together (and not in that creepy f-ing way, either.) I knew they couldn’t be apart for long, I mean, they’re the Brothers Winchester, apart they’re not nearly as strong as when they’re together. So I’m happy they’ve been able to start working things out.
And wow, can Jared Padalecki get any bigger? Really? And that hair? C’mon now, I’m a Dean girl, tried and true, cross my heart and hope to die and go to two-Dean heaven, but JPad, you’re seriously giving me some Sammy love. Snap front shirts? Thank you costume person. Huge, giant Sam Winchester in snap-front shirts makes my heart happy in a way I can’t explain. I don’t think I’d like Dean in a snap front shirt.
Ahem.
Last night’s episode, sorry, I didn’t look up the name…the monster hunting part didn’t feel as fresh. Okay, they thought it was a ghost, turned out to be a god. Felt done before. But then again, it would make sense they repeat the “creatures.” I mean, even with a whole lot of things out there in the dark, they’re bound to come up against more than one thing that’s the same, and they’ve done lots of ghosts. But it didn’t feel “fresh” or new the way I’ve come to expect Supernatural to make the hunt. It didn’t matter to me — I still liked it. I still jumped when the weapons flew out of their hands. I still laughed at a lot of the dialogue. It wasn’t as funny as let’s say, Monster Movie (the ep I do know the name of) or as poignant, but it got the brothers working together and got Sam to stand up to his brother and got Dean to soften toward him. They worked on some things so they can move forward with the rest of what’s going on.
And then at the end, instead of “next week” it says SOON and shows a bunch of clips. What does that mean? Hiatus? CURSE YOU SUPERNATURAL, CURSE YOUUUUUUU! Why do you toy with my affections so? Why do you slip me that “will you go with me, yes, no, circle one” note and then ignore me on the field trip when everyone knows you’re supposed to sit with me on the bus and hold my hand when the teachers can’t see? Why do you eat the pie I baked and then leave in the morning without even a note and with the fork still on the kitchen table? WHYYYYYYY?
I’ve heard next week is still a new episode so maybe they’re just toying with us. Hard. And cruelly.
Anyway, that’s what I think about Supernatural, if you care. And if you don’t, isn’t it a wonderful world in which we live, that you have the freedom to read other blog posts about other things, and not this one?
Have a great weekend, everyone. I’m going to work super hard on these revisions today so I can start my new project next week. I’m calling it COLLIDE, and thank you, Joe Dallesandro, because without you I’d never have thought of it.

Well, here it is! Another release day. I’m a little behind this morning, but that’s okay — the book’s still out and you can still buy it, fresh and brand-spanking new.
Today I’m chatting about brainstorming over at Novelthoughts and you can win a copy of No Greater Pleasure, so stop on over if you’re of a mind to do it.
I’ve talked about No Greater Pleasure before, so I’m not sure what else to say about it except the usual: I actually wrote NGP BEFORE (years before, as a matter of fact) Pleasure and Purpose. It’s part of the same world as P and P but it’s one full novel, rather than three novellas. It’s historical fantasy, romance, sensual, not erotic. Chronologically it probably takes place before P and P, but since they’re not really connected other than being set in the same world, you can definitely read them out of order…so, if you haven’t read Pleasure and Purpose yet, don’t fear. You can pick up No Greater Pleasure and read it first!
It has pretty cover art, too, which you can see in the sidebar at the moment.
I’ll entertain questions about it here, if you have any…
Go!

Meet Stillness, called upon to soothe the conscience of a man in need of redemption after a shocking act from his sexual past. Then there’s Honesty, whose vow of Solace is to a prince looking for a submissive handmaiden. Instead, he gets the unexpected. And finally, Determinata, a handmaiden confronted with a client lost in a haze of random sex and drugs. She has just the plan to literally whip her man into shape.
