It’s Friday, and my desk is dirty.

Actually, my whole house is pretty dirty, but I’ve been writing. The day is gray and I’m unmotivated to do anything, anyway. Well, eat chocolate. I feel like taking a shower, not because I need one (I took one this morning) but because getting in under the hot running water sounds sooooooo appealing. I feel tired and sort of blah.

But I wrote my 20 pages. I could write more. Should write more. Should clean my toilets, too. Should go buy cat food. Should finish my work so I can play the Sims! Hooray! But…I’ll probably do the barest tidying, write a few more pages, skip the shower, buy the cat food tomorrow and sadly, ignore the Sims.

It’s that sort of day.

I’m almost halfway through the book I’m working on, and if I keep plugging away at it I’ll be finished by the end of the month! Then it’s back to edits on COLLIDE so I can turn that in, then write the novella for an upcoming Heat anthology, then I’ll return to edits on this book (it’s the 4th Handmaiden book, for those of you following along.) I want to finish all of that by June so that when the summer comes I’m not trying to make page count with my kids home. Oh, and yeah, I’d like to spend a lot of time at the beach this summer.

Yeeeeeeeah.

So I guess I’ll get back to work, because work now means play later. So I keep telling myself. But then I just…do more work. It’s a good thing I love what I do!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Have a nice week end too Megan, hopefully you’ll be able to relax. Your day sounds like mine are sometimes, so hey two showers sounds good to me . Chocolate sounds good too. We have a store here called Hotel Chocolate which is heaven, they do lots of weird and wonderful combinations, my favourite is Dark Chocolate with Chilli…orgasmic!

And I cleaned today when I should have been writing. Oh well there’s still time yet.
