First off, I have the great pleasure of announcing that my spec fic novel, EXIT LIGHT, has been acquired by Carina Press (no word on release date or anything like that, but I’ll post updates as I find out more.) Exit Light is not romance, not erotic…it deals with the dream world and I’m very excited that it will get some readers!
For those of you who like my Spice books, you can look forward to another three over the next…gosh…I dunno how many years. Three more in addition to the two that aren’t out yet. Just found out yesterday, so that’s super exciting news, too! Hooray!
Hooray!
Haven’t done a lick of writing work today, nor did I watch a movie that I wanted to, so where did the time go? Oh, and I HAVE TO MISS SUPERNATURAL TONIGHT. This is a tragedy of epic proportions, believe me, I can’t really believe it.

Line by line. Word by word. Letter by letter.
Oooh, it’s painstaking. My eyes are blurry. My stomach’s rumbling. I’m behind schedule because I’m procrastinating!
*writhes*
Must. Push. Through…!!!

So, if you don’t really like books with lots of sex in them and consider them “porn” maybe it would be better if you didn’t…um…read them? And complaining about the fact that an erotic novel has a lot of sex in it really makes you look sort of…well…not even sort of…just plain silly.
So, you know, if erotic ain’t ya flavah, why not read something else?
So far’s I know, none of us are holding you down and forcing your eyes open like they did to little Alex in A Clockwork Orange.

So, Thursday I finished the rough draft of my extra project — 78,000 words in 13 days, thank you very much. Yesterday, I cleaned my house. Tonight I have plans later, so after I finish this entry I’m going to play the SIMS. Yes. Thank God. I need it. I want it.
Then next week, it’s revise/revise/revise because this book has to be finished by the end of this month or DIRE THINGS WILL HAPPEN. I can’t reveal to you what those dire things are, but they involve a wet noodle. And possibly a ruler.
But today, I’m going to play the Sims and then I’m probably going to do some cleaning because mysteriously, though I cleaned the house yesterday, parts of it are dirty again.
Before I go, I’m going to pass this along. One of my favorite musicians, Christopher Dallman, is taking part in a benefit to raise money for a woman named Jennifer who has MS.
And also, this, from another of my favorite musicians…Jason Manns. He says at his blog about his new movie, RockSlyde “It will be available on Video on Demand, starting in April, more details to follow, and the general DVD release will be in May… That is the good news, and now for the request. Please get on your NetFlix account and request Rock Slyde! And if you don’t have a Netflix account, please repost this anywhere you can think of. The more requests we get the better obviously, and it will tremendously help our little movie! ”
Also, yesterday I was a guest at Beth Kery’s blog, and though I thought I put up a post saying so, I clearly did not…*headdesk*. So check out Beth’s blog!
Also, I started reading Under the Dome.
Also. Supernatural? I love you.

OH! And a big P.S. to my friend WESTON WALLS…check out his blog, and his new show! Weston’s going to be producing a great new web show and you can be a part of it!

Slower writing day yesterday, only about 13 pages instead of 20. I’m very close to the end of my page count, which means I should finish up the book. It will all even out in revisions, take a little out at the beginning, add a little at the end.But I really should get to the end.
I might do that today. I’m not POSITIVE — I gave myself until tomorrow, after all, to finish. But I think I could finish this book today, as in get the story to the end, worry about the missing bits next week during revisions. Yeah. I think that could happen.
In happy news, I’m pleased to announce that my futuristic erotic romance novel, PASSION MODEL, will be re-released through Samhain Publishing in May! (Tentative release date, I’ll keep y’all posted if that changes.) I’m excited by the chance to become part of the Samhain family and for the chance to see this book available again. It’s one of my earliest and still favorite stories. I love writing SF, futuristic, I love it! So this is exciting news for me! If you’ve already read and enjoyed Passion Model, thank you. If you haven’t…I hope you give it a try.
And I guess that’s it. I’ve got some coffee brewing, and I’m going to work on these pages. Today it won’t necessarily be about how MANY, but what goes on them. I’m not aiming for another 40 page day, though I won’t turn it down. It’s just possible this could all tie up in 20 or 30 pages. Or 50, and I’ll be doing this tomorrow.
We’ll see…

My goal of 20 pages a day is coming along nicely. I feel like I’ve hit a groove. I’m not sure if it’s the book or what, if I can keep it up or what, but I hope so. I’m looking at the downward slide, now, hard to believe that it should be finished in rough draft form by Friday, but that’s the plan. And that will be a book in three weeks.
My desk is still a mess and my house is still a mess and my laundry’s a mess, too. Could blame the work, but really, the fact is, I just don’t like to clean.
My exercise plan has fallen by the wayside. I simply can’t force myself to wake up earlier and do it, even if it’s a treat because I get to read. I have Under the Dome I’ve been holding off starting and I want to be able to read it for at least half an hour or an hour at a time instead of squeaking out one or two minute increments here and there. And yet even the promise of the book isn’t enough to get me on the bike! I AM SO LAME!
I’m trying hard not to think too much about the new Supernatural that’s going to be on Thursday because I will be useless then. So I’m not thinking about it. Nope, not so much. Okay, maybe I am. Just a little.
Last night I dreamed about an alien worm in a carrot. That was really weird.

Yeah, it’s my fault for sleeping late, but what can I say, I’m not by nature an early morning person. And my desk is literally covered in paperwork, bills, etc. That I feel I must remove before I can really get to work. But guess what, I’m going to work instead of cleaning my desk, get my 20 pages for today, and THEN clean.
I really want to play the Sims. REALLY BAD.
I will finish this book by the end of the week, though, if I do what I’m supposed to do. And I’m going to. I will do it!!!!!! I will!
I’m really on the downward slide, maybe 100 more pages, and then it’s editing and polishing to be done, and that is the easier part.
So yeah, getting offline, having some coffee or maybe some tea, and then onto my daily goal. See you on the other side.

Oh, btw…everyone’s home today and they’re not bothering me, and I STILL am having a hard time getting motivated.

Long weekend. Not over yet. Family is home tomorrow and I have another 20 pages burning my brain.
Anyone wanna take bets on if I’ll actually do it with the three of them home (plans to go AWAY FROM THE HOUSE) seem to have fallen through.
I love my family, I really do.
But I’m not so good at working with them around.

There are days I really just want to Bale Out on someone. I mean, not just a random person, not just like, in the middle of the grocery store or something. But there are days when people make me so crazy I want to totally go off.
There are people in particular who elicit this reaction more frequently in me than others. Ebook pirates, for example? Fuck you. And if you think downloading a book from a file sharing site doesn’t make you an ebook pirate, again, fuck you.
And then there are…individuals. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could simply erase people from our lives who consistently and without fail find a way to squirt a huge, messy pile of fecal matter onto our days? You probably have someone or more than one, if you’re unlucky, like that. I do. I am blessed with a few forons I just can’t get rid of, and to them, I usually say nothing in the interest of taking the higher road, etc.
I don’t feel like that high road today. Today I feel like pointing a finger and saying “fuck you, you suppurating anal fissure, you pus-encrusted cyst, you infected, gangrenous, oozing, fecal-infested, maggot-ridden piece of offal.” That’s what I feel like saying today.
Not to you. Or you. Or not to you over there in the corner, and certainly not to YOU, either, I mean, really, you’re fabulous.
But to those unnamed pustules, those bile-filled blisters, I say:
what don’t you fucking understand?
