Daughter, looking at poster of TEMPTED on my office wall: “Are there three people in that picture?”
Me: “Yes.”
Daughter: “She’s wearing a ring, is she supposed to be married?”
Me: “Yes.”
Daughter: “Which one is her husband?”
Me: “This one. The other one is her husband’s best friend.”
Daughter: “I bet that was awkward.”
Me: “They’re models, it’s their job.”
Daughter: “So, she was with her husband and his best friend?”
Me: “Yes.”
Daughter: “…have you ever done that?”
Me *headdesk* “That’s a pretty impertinent question, but no. I haven’t. Think about your dad’s friends and ask yourself if that’s something I would do.”
Daughter: *laughs*

Awe, your blog chastised me and told me my comment was too short :X
Love it! Heh – and while it is very visible, especially on a poster I imagine, looking at her ring finger isn’t where the eye would gravitate.

Oh I’ve had similar conversations with my daughter, usually about *inappropriate books*. And then she remembers something she’d forgotten to ask while we’re standing in line at supermarket checkout….. LOL

ok now i just finished tempted. it was awesome… and felt myself wondering wtf.. alex was feeling when i realized that it was written from one POV. hers. so she could only measure reaction. another book of letting go…and my heart ached!!! sigh such a gooder! bravo !
reading thru you blog posts i realized that some of your books are connected to one another , which i also didnt grasp. ( i never said i was sharp) but in my defense i am a new reader. so i am a bit confused which books have reoccuring characters in them. how would i know which ones those are and which are stand alones?
please give me a hint… i am one of those readers who like to read in order . I obviously get confused easily…lol..

@cristina: I’m glad you liked Tempted!
As far as connected books go, the order in which they’re released is probably the order to read them in, since I don’t have a master plan for when people show up, but you don’t HAVE to read them in order. Most of the Spice books have mentions of other characters in them, but they’re ALL standalones. I don’t think you need to read any one of them to understand the others, with the possible exception of NAKED, due out next year, which takes Alex Kennedy through his own story after he leaves Anne and James. However, since that book is really the heroine’s story, as are most of my Spice books, you don’t *have* to have read Tempted first. It would just perhaps make more sense that way.

thanks for the quick response. that makes sense. i will be browsing thru you books to formulate a plan of attack. I love the idea of Alex”s story…why is the brooding unatainable are always so much More. More than others , more talented, more insightful, more connecting, the more they are damaged the more soulful…love them…hate them…envy them…wonder if i’ll ever be one of them..lol…(not that i wish for mare damage…just the more factor) i am all tinglely for alex’s pov…
i have to say you have a very bright sprout on your hands…i didn’t even notice the ring on her finger…she will keep you on your toes…those kind of people are always the most fun..
thanks again
cheers
