Well, I’ve been playing the Sims 2. I hear there’s a Sims 3 coming out in February, but not for Mac, so I’m making due with what I got. Stocking up, if you will, since I only play hard like this when my kids aren’t in school and I can’t get any work done and I don’t have to get up early. I *love* the Sims!
Right now I have a couple families going, mainly the Smithenwesson family. Two brothers, Sam and Will, moved in with Will’s wife Ella. Well. That didn’t go over so well at first because Ella and Sam fell in love! But then Sam moved out to leave them in peace (but not before they had their first set of twins, Merrin and Jerald.)
Here’s Uncle Sam holding baby Merrin:

Here’s Ella and Will in the bathroom, in the house they moved into after Sam moved out:

And then Sam got a makeover including new hair and a goatee! He took on some roommates, Ripp, Deke and Bella Elsinore. I didn’t realize until this moment that Bella and Ella rhyme, and maybe that’s why…even though she was a teenager when they moved in…

Sam eventually became BFF with Bella and when she became an adult, they were almost instantly in loooooove! She also got a makeover.

Yes. I know she has purple hair like someone else we know.
And then eventually…Bella got pregnant. I think it was after they got married but I can’t remember. Anyway, they did get married and Sam became Sam Elsinore.

And they like to cuddle on the couch in their underpants.

Well. Wouldn’t you?
And that’s what I’ve been doing lately.

You should be able to get your copies in about a week!
Romantic Times said this about my story, “Get There” — “Hart gives us a clever story about long-distance lovers” and gave the anthology as a whole four stars. With stories by Lacy Danes, Jackie Kessler and Jess Michaels in addition to me, the collection features a little bit of everything from historical to paranormal, and a whole lotta heat!

Parties are a lot of work. Parties involve lots of cleaning and cooking and general doing of things that need doing anyway (like cleaning the bathroom and finding like, mouse food from six months ago because the mice don’t live in the bathroom anymore) …
And I like HAVING parties and going to parties and we have a lot of parties, every year, we have like, oh…at least two big ones. I always say I’m going to scale back and then we do them anyway. I don’t think many people are coming to this party today, and that’s ok, but I have to do the same amount of work for a party with ten people as with twenty or fifty, so…really, it’s a wash.
I’m ready to eat some latkes and hot dogs though, and hang with some friends. I’d just like to be playing the Sims or reading, though. Haha. See? Vacation laziness.

I thought it was Superman.
(Get your minds out of the gutter!)
But when Superman said “WHAT WAS THAT!” I tore out my earplugs, heart pounding, and sat up! (Well, halfway up.)
“I thought it was you moving around!”
“No, I was asleep!”
“What the hell?”
“IT WAS AN EARTHQUAKE!”
And yes, it was!
Crazy.
My first earthquake.

Ok, so yesterday I spent all day laying around, playing the Sims 2, reading, taking a bath, dealing with a puking kid, watching TV, and then later, played some Dance Dance Revolution. I’m tired today, still in my PJ’s NEW! AWESOME!

And…I have to clean out a closet. Yeah. Exciting. I also have to think about what to cook for dinner tonight. I’m SO not into the cooking idea. Hmm. Something easy. Chicken? Leftovers? I have a lot of leftovers!
I have actually been thinking about writing quite a bit, probably because I know I *won’t* be writing — Superman was going to take the spawn skiing yesterday but weather and pukies put that out the window. And the weekend is coming, and it’s full, yes, full. Next week the kiddies are still home from school but with the new Wii games and whatnot I think they might be able to occupy themselves.
But I wanna Wii tooooooooooo!
Anyway, been thinking about the story, and I’m really excited to dig into it.
Also: STRANGER got picked up the by Rhapsody bookclub! That link might not work.
Also: TEMPTED is coming out in German — it’s being called HOT SUMMER and has the same cover. I guess they liked it enough to keep it! Which is fine with me, even though it’s always fun to see the other covers. I love the cover for Tempted.
And now, I go to clean out the closet. In my PJ’s. And…oh yeah, I have to remember to cook dinner.

Happy Hanukkah!
Merry Christmas!
Enlightened Solstice!
Happy Kwanzaa!
…I actively celebrate only one of those holidays, share the others with friends and family who do.
Just because I don’t celebrate something doesn’t mean it will kill me to wish that your celebration is lovely.
Have a wonderful holiday season and a great New Year!

Megan Hart
Ok. So, first off, thanks for taking the time to talk to me about Paperspine
Dustin Hubbard, CEO/President of Paperspine
Absolutely. I love talking to authors about our service!
Megan Hart
Great! Well I’m sure authors and readers are going to love hearing about Paperspine and how it works and most importantly (for us) why we should be excited about it, too!
Can you tell me a little bit about how you got started and what Paperspine is?

Well. Maybe he’s just smart enough to get me what I want.

And yes, I know they are wack-tastic, and I also know I can pretty much guarantee I will always be the only person in the room with a pair of boots like these.
I love them.
