I’m looking forward to the Twilight movie, but I think this kid has no idea what’s about to hit him.
*pets again*

Yeah, I don’t know, that kid does it for me. Usually I’m not down with someone who’s that…anime looking. But yeah. I’m on board.
And I also feel bad for him. I just read this morning that they had to shut down an appearance in San Francisco that was supposed to have something like 200 people, and over 3,000 showed up. Apparently there were riots and someone got trampled and and there was some fainting and broken bones.
Now see, I like him, but I just don’t see the point in behaving like that.
I did not know that you liked Twilight. Now just another reason for me to come visit your blog! The Twilight books are fabulous. I was a late comer to the series but devoured the first three books in a week. I would read them every chance I got. I am a little nervous that the movie will not live up to the books, and I am not sure how I feel about the two leads. I guess we will see! Megan did you ever consider writing a vampire series?
I have to agree. The guy has it coming at him from all sides. They barely talk about the actress! I can’t even recall her name! But I remember his name and his messy, messy hair.
I read Twilight and it left me colder than Edward’s perfect marble body. I waited and waited for the plot to start then realised that, actually, all the plot is is Bella and edward schmooping over each other.
However I do like young Mr Pattinson’s attitude to the situation. So far he’s been polite and tolerant and down to earth, and is sensible enough to know it was weird when a seven year old girl begged him to bite her. I hope he, and his career, survives.
@Rachel: I really liked the first book, the others in the series a bit less (but still enjoyed them!) Haven’t read the last one yet. I’m looking forward to the movie, though, it looks great, and since the first book was my favorite, the movie should be fab!
I haven’t written a vampire series, but I’ve written a couple vampire stories. I used to looooove vampires and then got a little vamped out. Vamp overload. I do *like* vampires but tend to enjoy them as scary rather than all lovey dovey…or a combination of both would be great!
I’ve not read the Twilight series, but I did see Robert Pattinson when he was in the fourth Harry Potter movie. I would hope that his time working on that movie would prepare him, at least a little, for what he’s getting himself into with his role as Edward.
I don’t think he knows what’s coming either! Already there are girls on campus talking about going to the theater and can you get tickets for it yet stuff.
Meh.
The fourth book is kinda disappointing. It took me nearly a week to finish it so that says a lot from me.
@paula: I don’t even have it yet, so unless my mom buys it for me… LOL!
Don’t get me wrong, I really really liked the first one! And I *liked* the others but I’m not as into them as some people are. But that doesn’t mean they’re not good.
I am still trying to get through the 4th book. I read the first three all in a row in a couple of weeks. I liked them but didn’t LOVE them. I LOVED The Host though.
I am lucky enough to be going to a private screening of the movie on the Monday after it opens. I am hoping it will be mostly an older audience. I don’t like squeeing during the movie!
Pattinson is painfully gorgeous, no? The fourth book is one big happy, so don’t expect any real surprises.
But what about Mr Bond this weekend? Less straight up beautiful, but a world more manly, scrappy and loin firing. I loved Casion Royale to an unhealthy extent and am cautiously optimistic about Quantum.
I write to music. Always. Hear what I'm listening to right this very minute as I write. You can listen to what I was listening to when I wrote certain books and stories. And, if you like a song, please purchase it from your favorite retailer so you can support the artist — because downloading music without paying for it is as douchey as pirating ebooks!

Good GOD isn’t he gorgeous?!

@Jen: He’s okay. I’m not blown away yet. I feel bad for him, more than anything. The movie hasn’t even come out yet and he’s already being idolized!

@Sal: I enjoyed Twilight, the other books less but still enjoyed. Haven’t read the last yet, though, and and I’m in no fire to do it.
I’m looking forward to the movie, though!

@Karen: Yeah, it’s pretty Edward-centric. But I like the actress they picked for Bella.

@Jen: I don’t feel that way about anyone either. Not even J and J or Keanu!

@Patty: I haven’t yet read The Host but it sounds great.
LOL, I plan on taking my kids to see it when it comes out. I’m sure there will be squee aplenty.

@Judith: Never been a big Bond fan, but I loved Casino Royale and Craig’s Bond! So yes, I’d like to see Quantum of Solace.
