and one last thought for today…

I *do* laugh when I read someone who says I’m crass or vulgar, or that I use dirty words.

Yes. Yes, I do. And if the words “an erotic novel” or the nekkid people on the front of the book didn’t clue you in that you might find dirty words in the book, I’m not sure what to tell ya. Or, you know, if the description and blurbs on the books didn’t adequately relay that they’re about sex…I just don’t know what to say.

I’m crass, vulgar and curse like a sailor. And yet I’m not sad about that. Go figure!

    I am not sad about it either. I say do your thing girl because I could not imagine life without a Megan Hart book to look forward to. Speaking of….Is it January yet? I will just have to read Tempted again….oh wait I can’t because I lent it to a friend who, if you can believe this, has NOT read it yet. I have STRESSED to her numerous times just how WONDERFULLY AWESOME this book is, but she claims she has been busy. I mean what does BUSY have to do with anything. This is TEMPTED we are talking about!!! Oh well, I have decided to let her keep that one and I am going to buy another copy for myself ( it is worth the money), which I am sorry to all my friends, but I will not share. Go get your own copy, in fact if I were you I would run because YES it is just that good! Oh Megan…like I said before this book needs to be made into a movie…..with no editing, and Jensen could play Alex…..Now is this too much to ask!!:)

    @Rachel: JENSEN AS ALEX !!!!!!!!

    *dies*

    …I don’t actually see Jensen as Alex but hmmm, if Jared played James and then I could be Anne.

    THAT would be a dream come true.

    You know Megan thinking of Jensen as Alex, and Jared as James, I can safely say that it would be the first time I would faint from watching a movie. The excitement of it all would be way to much for heart to take!!! Oh man but it would be worth it all!!! By the way have you been watching True Blood…..talk about HOTTT!!!! Bill and Sookie about two episodes back….and the cemetary scene…..there are not words!!!

    @Rachel: LOL…actually, if you twisted my arm and made me choose what roles I’d have Jensen and Jared play, it would be Joe and Adam from Broken.

    And yeah, I saw that episode. All I could think was “…DIRTY!” EW! No way would I be into that. But it was fun. I haven’t watched this week’s episode yet, though.

    I will admit I thought that too ( about the cemetary scene), but then I thought what the hell. She was so overwhelemed with thinking he was dead that she just reacted and went for it! Talk about working on pure instinct! But yes in post bliss I would definitely think what the hell did I do?!

    Well, I guess I’m in good company here because I also cuss like a sailor and am non repentant with respect to my ‘potty’ mouth.

    Oh well, I guess I’m going to hell. *shiver*

    And, by the way, I enjoy a good erotic read. So, rock on Megan. :D

    Regards
    Lea :D

    :lol:

    The post just made me laugh. While I don’t usually cuss, I don’t have a problem reading it.

    I don’t mind people not liking what they don’t like and choosing their reading accordingly (me not choosing 30 year old virgins for instance) but when the book is appropriately labeled and the cover, line and blurb are such that anyone with three brain cells could look and see that they’ll get sexin and some smutty words, I throw up my hands and say “FIE ON YOU!”

    People need to use their heads and common sense. If it says EROTIC NOVEL it’s gonna have graphic sex. If you didn’t figure that out, it’s no one’s fault but your own.

    It’s one thing if the book isn’t labeled correctly (happens all the time) but if the book has three naked people in bed on the cover, it’s from Spice, it says “AN EROTIC NOVEL” on the cover and it has that blurb, you’d have to be a root vegetable to not expect the odd bad word and oodles of sexin.

    @Lauren: Right, or if it says “A sexy debut exploring an erotic future universe of passion, danger, and deceit…”

    That might mean there’s…you know…SEX in it.

    I always wonder how people make this mistake because they obviously can’t actually read so why did they buy a book to begin with? For the naked people on the cover? Then they scan through the book and see fuck cock pussy and nipples and get all enraged because it’s a dirty book? WTF ever.

    I am actually reading Tempted and was picturing Jensen as Alex. Now I will have to put Jared in as James too. (for sure with the pink shirt)

    @Patty: Yeah, really!

    LOL on Jensen as Alex (he totally was never Alex in my head, that honor belongs to Gale Harold, but whatever, Jensen is pretty, too.)
