Risky Business

…is progressing!

section of the day:

It took everything in him, but Brandon didn’t rise to the blatant challenge. He smiled, instead. Mike sneered.
“Fucking pussy,” he said.
“Apparently I am,” Brandon said. “And you’re not.”

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I named my hero Brandon. Hey, listen, sometimes you just don’t choose. The name just fits. :)

I do have a list of names I will NEVER EVER NEVER EVER use, ever, for a hero.

What’s wrong with Brandon? I like Brandon. What’s your list of names you won’t ever use? I have a few names that I despise, but I think those will be then ames of the bad guys, since I generally write suspense into my stories, that works out well.

There’s nothing wrong with the name Brandon. It’s just a rather obvious choice since I’m currently slightly obssessed with Brandon Routh. :)

David is on my list of names I will never use, because it’s the name of the man who fathered my children and uses my shower.

I’m totally with you. I won’t use Scott or Matt, the names of my ex-husbands, for obvious reasons. Or the names of my brothers or my father, also for obvious reasons. And I seriously doubt I’ll ever use Fabio. Just sayin’. But the name Brandon is all good. Brandon Routh-even better!

I wouldn’t use my dad’s name either, ew! And like I said, I never would have thought of using Brandon except it just fits. And ok, so maybe if I wasn’t currently thinking B.R. is two handfuls of yum the name might not have worked for me, but it did.

I won’t use the name Jensen or Keanu, even though I think they are double fistfuls of delicious, too. I might used Jared at some point.

It really depends on the character’s age sometimes, too. A forty year old Brandon in a current setting doesn’t make as much sense as a 28 y.o. one.

I wouldn’t use Keanu, either, but admit to having used Jared.
Huh…kinda like how that sounds, saying I ‘used Jared’…*G*

…haha…I don’t know if we’re thinking of the same Jared but that does sound dirty. :)

Not that I have a problem with dirty.

I admit I had no idea who he was, so I had to look him up. Very nice! Even if I’m literally old enough to be his mother. I suppose that’s what makes it pervy. But I’m good with pervy.

So…in doing my uh…research…into your guy Jared I came upon Jensen Ackles, whose name I’ve heard mentioned before. Wow! There’s an entire world out there of hot young guys! Really hot, and really young.
    Um…what was my point…?
